Pediatric Endocrinologist

Position Description

The Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes in the Department of Pediatrics at Washington School of Medicine seeks candidates for a full-time academic position with an interest in pediatric endocrinology and diabetes as an Instructor in the Research Tenure track.

Clinical responsibilities include providing outpatient and inpatient pediatric endocrinology consultative services. Teaching responsibilities include participation in the clinical education of fellows, residents, and medical students. It is expected that the applicant attend and participate at scheduled meetings and CME activities by the division.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include clinical and translational research in areas such as type 2 diabetes, obesity and metabolic syndrome, type 1 diabetes, cystic fibrosis-related diabetes, hyperinsulinism, neuroendocrine disorders and other endocrine diseases. The successful candidate will be given opportunities, but not limited to, participate in institutional, departmental or division quality improvement and clinical research/medical education projects.

Basic Qualifications

• or or equivalent degree
• Board eligible or board certified pediatric endocrinologist
• Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients and education
• Work collaboratively with a diverse group of physicians in the inpatient and outpatient clinical care setting.
• Academic rank commensurate with qualifications in accordance with the Department of Pediatrics at Washington University School of Medicine Guidelines for Appointments.
