Supporting a mission-focused enterprise modernization effort, the remote Junior Java Developer will develop, test, document, and support Java-based services and integration components while collaborating with senior developers and DevSecOps engineers. Key responsibilities Develop and maintain Java services and application components in accordance with approved architecture and coding standards Create and consume RESTful APIs and service endpoints to facilitate secure data exchanges among various enterprise services Participate in Agile sprints, contributing to backlog refinement, coding, testing, and deployment activities Required qualifications 1+ year of hands-on Java software development experience through professional employment or relevant projects Working knowledge of core Java, object-oriented programming, and development of maintainable code Experience with RESTful APIs and backend services using structured payloads such as JSON Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL for data retrieval and validation Familiarity with Git or comparable source control and Java build tools
