Position Overview
We are seeking a Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer with strong manufacturing industry expertise to lead the design and implementation of enterprise data integration solutions. You will architect and develop sophisticated data pipelines connecting our manufacturing systems including Infor M3, Salesforce, Anaplan, OPLIT, and other critical business platforms within our Microsoft Fabric environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and development of complex data integration solutions using Microsoft Fabric
- Design bidirectional data flows between Fabric and manufacturing systems (Infor M3, Salesforce, Anaplan, OPLIT)
- Build advanced ETL pipelines that can handle diverse business data patterns, with preference for manufacturing operations data
- Implement real-time and batch processing for enterprise operations data, KPIs, and business metrics
- Create data lakehouse architectures optimized for manufacturing analytics and reporting
- Develop custom connectors and API integrations for specialized manufacturing equipment and systems
- Mentor junior team members and establish data engineering best practices
- Collaborate with business stakeholders across various departments to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance within enterprise data environments
Required Technical Skills
Microsoft Fabric : 2+ years of hands-on experience with Fabric Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and lakehouse architectureo They'll take strong Azure Data Factory experience if Fabric is hard to find
zure Data Factory : 4+ years of extensive experience building complex data pipelines and orchestrationManufacturing experience and manufacturing ETL : Deep understanding of manufacturing data patterns, production systems, and operational metricsData Engineering : Data modeling, pipeline optimization, and performance tuningProgramming : SQL, Python, and PySpark for manufacturing data transformationsPI Integration : REST APIs, webhooks, and real-time data streamingWorked with 1 of these systems
Infor M3 : Advanced knowledge of M3 manufacturing modules, data structures, and integration patternsOr Salesforce : Experience integrating manufacturing sales data, customer orders, and service operationsOr Anaplan : Understanding of manufacturing planning processes and demand forecasting data flowsOr OPLIT : Experience with operations platform data integration and manufacturing execution systemsNice to have certifications
Microsoft Certified : Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (Preferred)dditional Azure or manufacturing system certifications preferredQualifications
