Technical Product Owner

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Technical Product Owner for Payments will manage backlog clarity, acceptance criteria, and delivery decisions for digital payment services while collaborating closely with engineers and architects. Key responsibilities Translate business and compliance requirements into well-defined features, stories, and testable acceptance criteria for payment flows Maintain backlog ordering and transparency, making timely scope and priority calls to ensure consistent delivery Validate delivered work against acceptance criteria and support production issue triage for payment incidents Required qualifications Experience as a Technical Product Owner on a software delivery team using Agile/SAFe methodologies Demonstrated ability to create clear, testable acceptance criteria and break down features into manageable stories Comfortable discussing APIs, data flows, and system integrations with technical depth Experience owning a backlog for a service with real production usage Strong written and verbal communication skills to translate between engineering and business stakeholders
