Job Description:
Maintaining a strong sponsored research program: The candidate is expected to actively pursue and manage externally funded research projects (grants, contracts, etc.) and ensure continuous productivity in research activities.
Supervising graduate students: The individual will oversee the work of graduate students, providing mentorship, guidance on research, and potentially serving as their thesis/dissertation advisor.
Collaborating with other faculty in and outside the department: Collaboration is encouraged both within the department and across disciplines, fostering interdisciplinary research and initiatives.
Involvement in service to the university and the profession: This includes participating in committees, reviewing academic papers, organizing conferences, and contributing to the academic community within the university and in the broader field.
Expected Salary: Commensurate With Experience Minimum Requirements:
Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D
Preferred Qualifications: •Ph.D. and/or M.D. in Biomedical Sciences or a related biomedical field.
•Outstanding record of research accomplishments, a strong interest in graduate
education, and a commitment to professional service.
