About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Two (2) years of acute care RN experience

License : Registered Nurse

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Must-Have : Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree (ASN)

Description :

A professional nurse is accountable for the care of a group of patients.

The Registered Nurse focuses on safe, effective, patient-and-family-centered care.

Customer satisfaction and quality outcomes are essential responsibilities.

The RN assists in maintaining a financially stable unit.

There is an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education.

The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members.

The RN is responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care.

The RN focuses on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction.

The RN applies educational and professional experiences in the delivery of quality care.

Mentoring and precepting staff are integral parts of the role.

Job Responsibilities :

Assessment : Performs assessments and reassessments per policy and procedure or as warranted by patient condition.

Demonstrates the ability to make sound independent decisions.

Development & Implementation : Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of care.

Reviews and revises the plan as indicated.

Collaborates with the patient / family and interdisciplinary services.

Utilizes resources appropriately to support the needs of the organization, patient, and family.

Evaluation : Monitors and documents the response to clinical interventions.

Education : Facilitates, coordinates, provides, and evaluates education specific to patient / family needs.

Leadership : Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel.

Functions as a mentor and preceptor.

Demonstrates, encourages, and facilitates teamwork.

Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement.

Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts.

Implements practice changes and complies with regulatory standards.
