Purchasing Manager
The Purchasing Manager oversees an organization's procurement activities, focusing on sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring goods and services efficiently and cost-effectively to support business objectives. The role involves developing purchasing strategies, managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and ethical standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures to align with organizational goals and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Research, evaluate, and select vendors and suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery, while building and maintaining strong, positive relationships.
- Negotiate favorable prices and contract terms with suppliers to secure the best value for the organization.
- Hire, train, and manage a team of buyers and purchasing agents, setting departmental goals and ensuring efficient workflow.
- Manage the purchasing department budget, analyze procurement costs, and implement initiatives to reduce costs and waste.
- Oversee purchase order processing, inventory levels, and ensure the timely and quality delivery of goods and services.
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and company policies, and present risks to senior leadership.
- Stay informed about market trends, supply chain dynamics, and purchasing technology to make informed decisions and maintain a competitive advantage.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $75000.00 / yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
