Overview Position Summary: Responsible for the overall coordination, planning and management of patient, family and staff education related to human milk feeding for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Minimum Qualifications: 3+ years’ combined experience as a licensed/registered professional and/or Lactation Consultant in pediatric acute care setting. Basic knowledge of patient care principles, and equipment; CHLA patient care policies and procedures. Current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification. Education/Licensure/Certifications: Required: International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC); Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Nursing, Occupational or Speech and Language or other health-science related degree. Preferred: Registered Dietitian, Registered Nurse, Registered/licensed Occupational Therapist or Speech and Language Therapist. Pay Scale Information USD $64,688.00 - USD $116,563.20 CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
