Leading the design and scaling of the data platform, the full-time Staff Data Engineer will architect production data pipelines and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable data flow for AI-powered vegetation analysis, working remotely from specific time zones in Europe and Eastern North America. Key responsibilities Architect and evolve orchestration layer asset graphs and data quality checks for scalable data pipelines Design and maintain production data pipelines for large-scale geospatial and temporal data from ingestion to delivery Mentor engineers and establish standards for building, testing, and operating data systems Required qualifications 10+ years of experience designing and building production-grade data pipelines and systems Deep hands-on experience with Dagster or comparable orchestration tools Strong system design skills with a focus on service-oriented architecture Proficient in Python and experienced with Google Cloud Experience with event-driven patterns and building scalable data systems
