Responsibilities :

  • Manage third-party logistics partners with associates on their teams dedicated to our account. Monitor metrics for key performance indicators, vendor performance scorecards, and development of business cases to support logistics process changes and improvements
  • Lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of forward-thinking solutions, addressing supply chain and logistics challenges within a strong focus on efficiency, speed, scale, and predictability
  • Work collaboratively across teams to gather and define comprehensive business requirements, ensuring that solutions are tailored to meet the specific needs of the supply chain and logistics operations
  • Manage relationships with multiple internal customers within the third party facility and cross-functionally across the organization
  • Recognize improvement opportunities specific to the cost and quality of services to be provided. Create documented business cases, present business cases to peers and leadership for approval, and provide ongoing project management
  • Collaborate closely with the systems teams to create and refine capability roadmaps that outline the development and integration of new technologies, tools, and systems required to implement the proposed solutions effectively.
  • Ensure compliance to OSHA, food safety and facility compliance while meeting operational goals and obsessing over safety - Travel regularly to fulfillment center.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience managing third-party logistics providers / vendors
  • Strong project management and continuous improvement skills
  • Experience managing inbound, outbound, or quality operations with a thorough understanding of key metrics, inputs, and outputs
  • Track record of success in operations management, including but not limited to problem solving, capacity planning, cost management, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • New network or building launch experience
  • Cross dock operations experience - Trained and managed high performing teams
  • Continuous improvement, Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen experience
  • Writing training documents and standard operating procedures.
