Job description
To support a high-impact defense mission, the mainly remote Backend Software Engineer will design, build, and integrate secure backend services and APIs using Python and/or C#, with onsite sprint planning in Laurel, Maryland approximately every six weeks. Key responsibilities Design and develop secure backend services and APIs, ensuring integration and testing with technologies like FastAPI and gRPC Build reliable asynchronous workflows and manage data solutions using PostgreSQL and PostGIS Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in code reviews and vulnerability remediation efforts Required qualifications At least four years of professional software-development experience A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field Hands-on experience with backend services, APIs, or distributed applications Proficiency in Python, C#, or a comparable backend language Understanding of secure software-development lifecycle practices
