To support a growing pediatric practice, the full-time Patient Access Scheduler will manage incoming calls, schedule patient appointments across various divisions, and initiate billing processes while telecommuting during standard business hours. Key responsibilities Answers telephones promptly and professionally, notifying referring offices of patient appointment details Schedules, cancels, and modifies patient examinations as necessary, ensuring accuracy in scheduling modalities Participates in education programs to maintain current skills and competency levels Required qualifications Experience in a scheduling or patient access role Proficiency in scheduling systems and software Knowledge of medical billing processes and insurance verification Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare training preferred
