Security Specialist
The successful candidate for this position will support multiple programs, enforcing the DoDM 5205.07, physical security requirements in accordance with ICD 705, and all other regulatory guidance and established policies. This position will support both the Stratford and Bridgeport, CT locations. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the daily security operations in these locations, which include, but are not limited to the following tasks : CSSO and / or A-CSSO duties, PERSEC (SAPNP, foreign travel reporting, etc.), SETA, classified document control, investigation of security incidents, visits, physical security (badge control, paperwork preparation and processing, etc.), special test events, conducting self-inspections and leading preparation and execution for all external security audits. This position is a first shift position, but will require participation in an after-hours alarm call list rotation.
Basic Qualifications :
- Final transferable Top Secret security clearance, Periodic Reinvestigation must be completed within the last 5 years.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Programs (SAP) access.
- Prior experience working in a classified environment with classified materials.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to partner with internal and external customers and teammates.
Desired Skills :
Prior experience as a CSSO and / or A-CSSO Experience working within Special Access Programs.Experience working with the 32 CFR Part 117, DoDM5205.07.Ability to work well on a team and also independently when required.Very well organized, capable of multi-tasking, and detail oriented.Security Clearance Statement : This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level : Top Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years.
