Senior Tax Accountant

Overview

As the Senior Tax Accountant, you are an essential member of our Finance team, assisting in and coordinating the organizations tax compliance, ensuring adherence to all federal, state, local, and foreign tax regulations. In this role, you will demonstrate a strong understanding of tax laws, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently on complex tax issues.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740.
• Assist in the sales tax process including analyzing taxability, staying current with tax law changes and review of sales and use tax and VAT returns.
• Maintain and update tax records and documentation to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
• Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to provide guidance on tax implications for various business transactions.
• Assist in developing and executing tax strategies aligned with the companys financial and business objectives.
• Assist in the preparation of responses to tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
• Assist in the preparation of tax-related disclosures for financial statements and regulatory filings.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure accurate and comprehensive tax reporting.
• Work closely with finance, accounting, and legal teams to ensure alignment on tax-related matters.
• Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the tax function.
