Job Description

Responsibilities

The Network Administrator is responsible for the overall performance and availability of the network. He / She will be required to install, configure and maintain organizations network. He / She must be able not only to test and evaluate the network system to eliminate problems and make improvements, but also recommend upgrades / changes and assess the organizations current and future network needs.

Essential Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Installs, configures, and maintains the organization's network
• Forecasts and adjusts for peaking loads through the proactive use of network diagnostic and predictive tools
• Troubleshoots problems as reported by users and automated network monitoring systems and make recommendations for enhancements in the constructions of future servers and other network appliances and transport media
• Establishes and administers user and group profiles and password management in accordance with departmental policies and directives
• Diagnoses and resolves hardware resources to insure maximum system up-time and the highest level of availability possible
• Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment
• Performs all other duties as may be required by Management

First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
