The John E. Walker Department of Economics in the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business at Clemson University invites applications for one part-time (six month), non-tenure track position. The preferred candidate is expected to be hired at the rank of Lecturer. The compensation package is competitive and includes benefits. The position is term-limited and renewable annually based on performance and availability of funding.
Job duties include teaching one (1), primarily in-person, course in the Spring semester at the graduate level. Immediate teaching needs include Applied Time Series and Financial Economics. Course teaching assignment is for MS / PhD applied econometrics. The preferred start date is January 5, 2026 .

The Department of Economics currently has approximately 400 undergraduate majors, 30 masters students, 45 Ph.D. students. It consists of 23 tenured / tenure-track faculty members, and 8 clinical, lecturer or adjunct faculty members. Clemson is a college town nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, located on the I-85 corridor between Atlanta and Charlotte and is 30 miles outside of Greenville, SC. Qualifications
Applicants must have at least a master's degree in economics, preferably a Ph.D. in economics. Preference will be given to candidates with applicable industry experience and / or comparable teaching experience. All applicants should have potential for excellence in teaching, excellent communication skills.
