Job description
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and driven EHS Manager to lead compliance efforts, elevate safety programs, and champion a culture of safety excellence. This role requires a dynamic leader who can drive top-down initiatives, actively engage with plant personnel, and implement strategies that ensure regulatory compliance and operational safety. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a proven ability to lead programs, influence change, and achieve impactful results. This position will report to the Business unit leader and will be responsible for 3 locations with regular overnight travel.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in EHS or related Science field is required. Master’s Degree in EHS or related Science field is preferred. In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, 10 years’ experience within EHS function will be considered.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience with at least 2 in leadership, in EHS function preferably within a Manufacturing setting. Advanced degrees and certifications may count in lieu of years of service.
- Experience implementing safety programs and leading teams to achieve operational excellence.
- Preference for applicable EHS related professional certifications (ASP, CSP, IHIT, CIH, CHMM, etc.)
- Thorough understanding of EHS science. Working knowledge of EHS regulation with strong understanding of OSHA and EPA laws
- Thorough understanding of Environmental regulations including air permitting, Stormwater Pollution Prevention, Wastewater and Hazardous Waste Management
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a track record of driving change and engaging employees at all levels.
