Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. has a job opportunity for a full-time Shipboard Engineering Technician (Electrical) III in Newport News, VA. The Shipboard Electrical Engineering Technician will provide support to U.S. Navy Aircraft Carriers stationed at Newport News Shipyard (NNS).

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Offer subject matter expertise to shipboard personnel, assisting the CEMAT electrical habitability project team with engineering and technical support.
• Deliver over-the-shoulder and on-the-job (OJT) training to ship's force Sailors as needed
• Provide guidance on materials, maintenance, and training to ships' crews for shipboard equipment and systems on CVN aircraft carriers.
• Electrical troubleshooting, use of multimeters, and megohmmeters and network testers
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems
• Provide maintenance and repairs of shipboard electrical equipment on U.S. Navy Aircraft Carriers, including shipboard motors and motor controllers.

All personnel assigned must have the below qualifications and they must be current or be able to obtain :

ADA Notations : Requires working, walking, reaching, sitting and concentration in the presence of noise. Ability to move in narrow and restricted passageways, up / down steep and narrow ladders or stairways. Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs. in weight. Noise conditions range from very quiet to loud. Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to : hard hat, safety glasses / goggles, ear plugs / muffs, masks / respirators, safety vests, gloves and steel-toe boots.
