Working remotely full-time, the Medical Coding Quality Analyst will audit coders, educate staff on coding guidelines, and ensure compliance with coding standards while managing quality assessments of medical records. Key responsibilities Audit and assess the quality of medical coding and documentation for accuracy Educate coders and staff on appropriate coding classification standards and guidelines Research and resolve errors or missing documentation to enhance coding processes Required qualifications Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience 5 years of medical abstract coding/auditing Pro-Fee experience required Minimum of 3 years' experience in coding audit or quality review work Auditing Certification through AAPC (CPMA) required Additional certifications such as CPC, CEMC, CRC, CPB, CCS-P, or RHIT are preferred
