Role Overview : As a Community Relationship Manager, you will play a pivotal role in fostering strategic partnerships and driving community engagement.
Your expertise will be essential in aligning our corporate priorities with community-based organizations (CBOs) and community-based healthcare providers within the assigned region.
You will manage a portfolio of community partners that have the most potential to drive MVPs growth, care quality, and philanthropic goals.

Essential Functions :
Community Development and Partnerships Strategy :
- Develop and maintain comprehensive expertise in enterprise strategies and priorities related to community partnerships (, quality metric improvement, sales growth, community engagement).
- Identify new partnership opportunities and understand the needs of strategy-aligned CBOs within the assigned region, including their background, purpose, customer status, and MVP customer utilization (if available).
- Collaborate with regional leadership to create a proactive community strategy that aligns with enterprise and regional goals.
- Represents MVP Health Care as the primary individual responsible for community partner development, both internally and externally.
- Accountable for partner development through the identification and execution of community partner activations that drive MVP customer growth through partner attributed lead generation.
Execution of Community Relationship Investments :
- Coordinate the execution of community relationship investments, including sponsorships.
- Partner with internal teams including sales, talent, brand and product marketing to ensure successful delivery of deliverables that drive impactful community connections and MVP customer growth (, advertising, event tabling).
- Facilitate internal and external communication of community relationship efforts, including marketing, advertising, public relations, and employee engagement.
Reporting and Coordination :
- Design and prepare various reports using appropriate software and resources.
- Serve as the point of regional coordination for other corporate areas involved with community-based organizations.
Community Development Relationships Coordination :
- Initiate and execute improvements to enhance the effectiveness of community investments and partnerships across the corporation.
- Stay informed about industry best practices related to community investments and partnerships.
- Spend 50%+ of work hours working and meeting with external community partners to identify, develop, and grow community partner relationships.
- Contribute to the development of less senior teammates and seek opportunities to improve team functioning.
Event Staffing and Travel :
- Staff events and engage in other community engagement activities within the assigned region and key relationships.
- Operate within the assigned geography / territory and travel across regions for meetings and events.
Reporting Structure and Work Schedule :
- Report to the Leader, Field Marketing & Community Partnerships within the Marketing and Communications department.
- This position is exempt.
- Be prepared to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree required. In lieu of degree, a minimum of eight years related experience.
- Experience working with a range of stakeholders, including healthcare providers and local community-based organizations.
- Experience in sales, marketing, and / or business development
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and professional presence, including demonstrated ability to form positive relationships within all areas of the organization, all levels of management, other Plans, and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated ability to lead meetings and make effective presentations for internal and external groups.
- Excellent skills in organization, planning, and business process development; must be able to effectively implement multiple programs concurrently.
- Demonstrated proficiency with current office software products including Microsoft Office Products.
- Ability to retain composure under pressure and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
