POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join us. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in construction project management, good understanding of food production equipment, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to manage a greenfield project in US successfully.
The Project Manager will be a key player in facilitating large scale multi-million-dollar capital projects associated with new facility design, construction, equipment installation and start up. This position will also facilitate reengineering and renovation of existing manufacturing and distribution operations.
This role needs to coordinate and collaborate various stakeholders to ensure project tasks are managed on time, within scope, and budget, while adhering to high-quality standards
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Leading the planning and implementation of project activities across USA (Los Angeles and Atlanta)
- Responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, scope, change and risks throughout the project execution while prioritizing Safety First, Quality, and Environmental elements always
- Managing changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques with strong negotiation skills
- Managing design building company to ensure the quality of design and construction and adhering to contract terms on schedule
- Managing all manufacturing and delivery of all process and utility equipment and integrate with construction works to ensure smooth and seamless execution of equipment installation and commissioning
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, regulatory authorities, and utility companies to deliver the project on time and within budget.
- Ensure the facility meets all food safety, environmental, and building regulations and coordinate necessary certifications and permits.
- Collaborate in equipment selection and oversee the installation of the processing and packaging equipment.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to develop a plan and execute the testing, commissioning, and validation of the plant equipment and systems.
- Responsible to make reports to timely report the project status to management team
- Ability to work across multiple time zones with company global functional team and vendors
- Strong leadership and able to work under pressure
- Ability to travel as project requires it

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalentProven experience managing projects form design, construction, equipment installation, commissioning, qualification and validation.Minimum 10 years work experience, 5+ years of experience managing construction projects and budgets, with over 5 numbers of project experience in industrial field, with at least one project with investment over 15m USDLarge greenfield project (over 100m USD) experience is preferredPrior experience with Food and Beverage Manufacturing is a plus (GPM, FDA, FSMA, HACCP)PMP certification or equivalent preferredExperience with Microsoft Project management program or similar PM softwareExperience with Health and Safety requirementsExcellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skillsLean manufacturing, LSS, TPM or another CI experience beneficialLANGUAGE SKILLSEnglish RequiredCantonese / Mandarin a plusMATHEMATICAL SKILLSAt a minimum, decent basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, use of percentages and fractions, etc.) plus basic algebraPHYSICAL DEMANDSProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Prolonged periods standing and walking at project location or vendor visits.WORK ENVIRONMENTSometimes work indoors in an office, or outdoors at a construction site.Are often exposed to sounds and noise levels, such as from earth-moving equipment, that are distracting and uncomfortable.Wear protective equipment often, such as hard hats, when touring a construction site.Are sometimes exposed to hot or cold temperatures, depending on the weather.Are sometimes exposed to hazardous equipment.Work somewhat close to other people, such as when sharing office space.Often work in buildings without heating or air conditioning, such as portable trailers or unfinished structures.Regularly visit job sites.
