About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of SEC Reporting to join their dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the preparation of all quarterly and annual SEC filings in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations. This role requires a strong technical skill set, exceptional organizational abilities, and a proven track record of thriving in a multi-task oriented setting. The Head of SEC Reporting will also be involved in coordinating the review and approval of filings, supporting investor relations, and ensuring that the company's financial reporting processes represent best practices. A critical aspect of the role is the ability to run towards and solve the company's hardest problems, in line with the company's intense work culture.
Applicants for the Head of SEC Reporting position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of relevant experience, with a current or recent senior-level SEC reporting background. A CPA or similar designation is required, and a combination of private and public accounting experience is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, a thorough knowledge of US GAAP, SOX 404, and SEC financial reporting standards, and excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills. The role demands a high level of enthusiasm, curiosity, and a commitment to integrity and work ethic. Experience in financial institutions or fintech, as well as familiarity with Workiva's WDesk and NetSuite, are considered advantageous.
