Job Description :
Soliant Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school district in the Burnsville, Minnesota area.
This position offers the opportunity to work with a team of professionals committed to providing quality education and support to students with special needs.
Duration : March 25th - End of School Year
Schedule : Monday to Friday, 7 : 30 AM - 3 : 30 PM
Grade Level / Caseload : Kindergarten to 5th Grade; Case manage 8 students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Developmental Cognitive Disability (DCD)
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, focusing on academic, social, and behavioral goals.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in various academic subjects and functional skills.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the inclusion and success of students with special needs in the general education setting.
- Utilize evidence-based strategies and interventions to address the unique needs of students with ASD or DCD.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and progress reports.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and independence.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid Minnesota teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
- Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Developmental Cognitive Disability (DCD) preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Dedication to meeting the diverse needs of students with special needs.
