Job Summary and Qualifications
As an Electrophysiology Technologist, you will demonstrate knowledge of patient assessment, treatment plans, and care. You will assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology studies, as well as during pacemaker and ICD implantations.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions.Assess, plan, and implement patient care during procedures.React appropriately in emergency situations.Assist in diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures.Help with the insertion and removal of devices such as pacemakers and ICDs.Provide education to patients and families before and after procedures.Participate in the training and onboarding of new staff and share knowledge with colleagues.Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives.Assist in hemodynamic monitoring during procedures.Prepare patients for examinations or treatments.Continue education to maintain competencies in the procedure area.Support the facility's Standards of Performance and ICARE values.Qualifications
Candidates must possess one of the following :
A current license or registry certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).A current licensure from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology and certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Registered Radiologic Technologist [RT(R)].New and existing staff with eight years of procedural experience may be considered, provided they obtain an advanced registration / certification (RCIS or RCES) or their Radiologic Technologist [RT(R)] license within one year of hire.Additional Requirements :
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).Current ACLS certification from the AHA or completion within six months of hire.Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues.A minimum of one year of experience in an electrophysiology or catheterization lab.TriStar Centennial Medical Center is a 740+ bed facility offering comprehensive medical and surgical services, including behavioral health, emergency care, heart and vascular programs, imaging, neurosciences, oncology, and more.
