Senior Accountant

Remote – candidate must be based in DFW, some travel a few times per year

Vaco has partnered with a growing private equity-backed business services company to hire a Senior Accountant. This role is a key part of building out the accounting and finance function, offering hands-on exposure to full-cycle accounting and opportunities to improve processes as the company continues to scale.

This is a fully remote role with a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The position reports directly to the CFO and provides visibility to leadership and the PE firm, allowing for significant impact across the business.

Compensation : $90–120K + 5–10% bonus (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform full-cycle accounting including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Manage fixed assets, bank activity, AP / AR, and expense reporting
• Support M&A accounting and reporting for the PE firm
• Develop and implement SOPs and process improvements across accounting functions
• Prepare schedules, analyses, and financial statements for leadership review
• Work independently on projects while collaborating cross-functionally with business leaders
