Position Overview :

Seeking an experienced and highly skilled Professional Liability Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in defending architects, engineers, surveyors, LSRPs, and other construction-related professionals in malpractice and liability cases. The firm will also look at anyone with insurance defense experience interested in this type of work. This role requires a deep understanding of the unique challenges and legal issues faced by professionals in these fields. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of litigation, from case evaluation through trial and appeal.

Key Responsibilities :

• Represent architects, engineers, surveyors, LSRPs, and other construction-related professionals in professional malpractice litigation.
• Provide expert legal advice and defense strategies tailored to the specific needs of clients in the construction and design industries.
• Conduct thorough case evaluations, including the review of contracts, project documents, and relevant standards of care.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation.
• Collaborate with expert witnesses to develop strong defense strategies and effectively present technical evidence.
• Communicate regularly with clients, keeping them informed of case developments and advising on legal risks and strategies.
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court, arbitration, or mediation as needed.
• Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and legal developments affecting architects, engineers, surveyors, and LSRPs.
• Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and support staff as needed.
