Job Summary
The Materials Associate performs a variety of manual and administrative tasks related to inventory control, stockroom management, kitting, expediting, shipping, and receiving operations in accordance with established procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Receives, checks, stores, issues, and ships various items while maintaining inventory control.Uses assistance and / or powered mechanical means (excluding forklifts or high‑bay vehicles) to load, unload, store, and deliver incoming and outgoing material.Prepares and packages small and large parts using proper procedures and materials.Proficiently uses computer hardware and software.Oversees parts preparation, material handling, measuring and packaging equipment, records calibration logs of tools and equipment.Performs operator preventive maintenance tasks and refers major breakdowns to machine maintenance.Maintains contact with personnel from various customers and supports areas to ensure accuracy of material / process.Uses assorted measuring and weight recording devices.Keeps equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean.Performs related duties as required within the scope of this function.Qualifications Required
High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience; if no diploma, 3 years of relevant experience required.Valid driver’s license.Preferred Qualifications
Basic computer skills.Experience with SAP.Forklift operation and pallet jack experience.Stockroom or warehouse experience.Experience filing customs paperwork.Benefits
