Responsibilities
- Manages and coordinates the activities of direct reports
- Receives guidance from manager
- Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion
- Coordinates work activities with other managers / leaders
- Manages coordination of activities within own team, often including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and work process
- Reviews work of team members upon completion for quality, provides coaching and mentoring
- Identifies technical and operational challenges by analyzing multiple factors and / or leveraging appropriate resources
- Decision making and problem solving are largely guided by policies, procedures and departmental plans
- Provides guidance to direct reports
- Drives engineering excellence and fosters innovation
- Recommends changes to process and policies that affect immediate team
- Influences decisions through persuasion to drive consensus
- Executes ongoing goal setting, performance and development reviews according to the THRIVE process
- Defines and executes detailed technical training plans according to the workforce planning strategy and learning objectives
- Informs senior management of progress, risks related to key goals and objectives
- Collaborates across multiple areas and / or with other departments to achieve project objectives
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldExperience utilizing Agile and Scrum software development methodologies2-4 years of management experienceKnowledge and / or project experience with AI / LLM’sSelf‑motivated, result‑oriented, problem‑solving attitudeHigh collaboration, drive for results, people focus, customer focusDemonstrable understanding of software engineering processes, including awareness of delivery requirements such as time and cost and an ability to recognize and manage performance with a focus on continuous improvementHands‑on experience with .NET and cloud‑native languages and toolsetsCompensation
$170,000 – $200,000 base salary. Total compensation may also include annual performance bonus, benefits and / or other incentive compensation plans.
