About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse

Shift : Night Shift
Hours per Shift : 12 hours (7 PM to 7 : 30 AM)
Experience : Minimum one year experience preferred
License : State RN license or RN license from a participating state in the NLC required
Certifications : American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Must-Have : Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification required; STABLE certification preferred
Description :
Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records, and clinical data.
Evaluate patients' responses and intervene to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Develop and implement patient plans of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Demonstrate competency in various therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, incision / wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect the health, safety, and rights of each patient.
Provide patient and family education through assessments of readiness to learn, needs, and ability.
Evaluate the effectiveness of teaching provided.
Recognize patients or designees as full partners in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for preferences, values, and needs.
Deliver relationship-based care, striving to understand what is most important to individuals and actively engage them in all aspects of care.
Respect cultural differences and the diversity of human experience in care delivery.
Delegate to non-RN personnel in accordance with applicable nursing regulations and hospital policy.
Effectively utilize time, personnel, equipment, and supplies to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care.
Serve as a professional role model for all staff by demonstrating ethical, legal, and professional nursing processes.
Manage resources and patient flow by aligning nursing competencies with individualized patient and unit needs.
Utilize standards of care, hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to guide clinical practice.
Function effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making to achieve quality patient care.
Mentor and precept new staff or nursing students as needed.
Pursue learning opportunities and continuing education to maintain skills and competency in clinical practice.
Maintain professional records that provide evidence of competency and lifelong learning.
Evaluate personal integrity and nursing practice in relation to professional standards, statutes, rules, and regulations.
Take action to achieve identified goals during evaluation processes.
Demonstrate commitment to the organization through ongoing participation in meetings.
Understand the value of measurement and the importance of continuous quality improvement data.
Utilize quality measures to improve performance and accountability for patient outcomes and safe delivery of care.
