Sales Coordinator / Apprentice

At Forge, we install energy-efficient heat pumps for homeowners across Greater Boston. Our mission is to help homeowners make their homes more comfortable and sustainable while reducing energy costs.

We're growing fast and to support our expanding sales team, we're hiring a Sales Coordinator / Apprentice to partner closely with one of our HVAC Sales Experts. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the home energy sales process from a seasoned professional with a clear path toward becoming a Sales Expert yourself in the next 25 years.

Compensation : $58,000-65,000 based on experience and qualification for the role.

About the Role

As a Sales Coordinator, you'll be paired with a specific HVAC Sales Expert and work side-by-side to deliver an excellent customer experience. You'll assist with site visits, collect critical data, help prepare proposals, and manage documentation ensuring every customer interaction is smooth, accurate, and professional.

This is a hands-on, field-based role ideal for someone organized, driven, tech-savvy, and eager to learn the HVAC sales craft from the ground up.

What You Will Do

Field & Customer Support :

  • Accompany your assigned Sales Rep to homeowner site visits across Greater Boston.
  • Use digital tools (like Conduit and Kopperfield) on an iPad to perform home scans, take photos, and collect data for things like electrical load calculations.
  • Assist your rep in drafting and finalizing system proposals and quotes while on the road or between appointments.

Sales Process Support :

  • Ensure all necessary documentation and project information are organized and handed off to the delivery team after a deal is signed.
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency in digital records and proposal materials.
  • Help manage follow-up communication with customers, as needed sending emails, updating proposals, and tracking progress in the CRM.
  • Learning & Growth :

  • Gain firsthand exposure to the heat pump sales process from customer education through closing.
  • Learn how to scope systems, use quoting tools, and handle customer conversations.
  • Receive mentorship and structured feedback to develop into a future Sales Rep.

  • Comfort on the road you'll spend time traveling to home visits alongside your rep (so no car sickness, please!).
  • Minimum Requirements :

  • Full-time availability (in-person or on the road, 5 days / week).
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Willing and able to pass a background check and 4-panel drug test (no marijuana screening).
