The Opportunity

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage at a busy regional emergency department in Stephenville, Texas .

This facility is part of a respected healthcare system and offers a supportive clinical team, low-acuity volume, and modern resources including Epic EMR and optional scribe support.

Enjoy the flexibility of 12-hour day or night shifts while contributing to a high-functioning ED focused on efficient and compassionate care.

Key Program Details

Shift Schedule : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM | 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (24-Hour Physician Coverage)

APP Coverage : 12 : 00 PM – 10 : 00 PM

Shift Needs : 10–15 Shifts Per Month (Long-Term Assignment Preferred)

Annual ED Volume : 18,400 Visits

ED Beds : 12

Patients per Hour : 2.1

Scribe Support : Available 9 : 00 AM – 3 : 00 AM (Provider-Funded Optional Add-On)

EMR : Epic

Admission Orders : Not Required

Candidate Requirements

Board Certification / Eligibility : ABEM, ABFM, ABIM

Licensure : Active Texas Medical License & DEA

Certifications :

ACLS – Required for Sedation Privileges

ATLS – Required at Initial Credentialing if not ABEM (does not need to be maintained after)

Experience : Prior ED experience in a comparable volume setting preferred

Credentialing : Clean file required; no temporary or emergency privileges offered
