It prepares students to be innovative leaders with a global perspective. The program exposes students to Silicon Valley practices and leaders, and prepares them for roles in entrepreneurial ventures or corporate innovation. The Lucas College and Graduate School of Business at San José State University invites applications for part-time faculty appointments to teach undergraduate courses on campus in San José, California, or online. Responsibilities Teach at undergraduate or graduate level with excellence in teaching and student engagement. Courses must be offered and scheduled for the entire semester or term in the mode listed in the schedule of classes (asynchronous, synchronous, bichronous, in-person, or hybrid). Maintain weekly office hours and create and evaluate exams and assignments. Participate in faculty meetings and provide input on curriculum decisions where applicable. Appointments may be renewed based on department need, funding, and performance; positions start at the beginning of a semester. Demonstrate awareness of and address the needs of a diverse student population through inclusive materials, teaching strategies, and advisement. Organize classes within the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) as the official platform for SJSU courses; access is provided prior to the semester start date. Required Qualifications Master’s degree or higher relevant to the courses to be taught, with at least three years of professional experience. Knowledge and experience in the relevant teaching areas. Aware of and sensitive to the educational goals of a multicultural population, demonstrated through cross-cultural study, training, teaching, or similar experience. Preferred Qualifications College teaching experience. Compensation Compensation and salary range placement are determined by qualifications and experience. Anticipated starting salary: L-A / Range 2 — $5,507 to $5,959 per month L-B / Range 3 — $6,221 to $7,481 per month L-C / Range 4 — $6,825 to $9,431 per month L-D / Range 5 — $8,593 to $10,347 per month Range salaries are the anticipated monthly rate for full-time AY faculty; part-time rates are prorated.
