As a Dental Assistant- Expanded Duties, you will :

• Prepares patients for dentist’s complete examination.
• Assists the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Assists the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Performs a variety of expanded duty functions :
• Places and removes rubber dams, matrices, and wedges.
• Applies cavity liners and bases.
• Places, condenses, carves, and contours amalgam restorations.
• Places and finishes composite resin restorations, including sealant material.
• Provides patient education.
• Assists with sterilizing instruments as assigned following infection control guidelines.
• Assists with maintenance of dental equipment (i.e., lab trays, pouring models, etc.)
