The Senior Vice President will act as the primary spokesperson, offering strategic counsel to senior leadership, managing a dedicated team, and ensuring our brand voice resonates across diverse platforms. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree (with an advanced degree preferred) and possess 7-10 years of experience in professional or collegiate sports communications, media relations, or public affairs. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated history in high-stakes communication and crisis management, coupled with superior writing, editing, and interpersonal skills.
An in-depth understanding of college athletics, particularly football, and a grasp of the media and cultural landscape is crucial. The ideal applicant will be a pro-active, media-savvy communicator capable of handling multiple projects within tight deadlines, collaborating effectively with senior executives, coaches, and student-athletes. A passion for storytelling related to student-athletes, brand development, and a modern approach to cultural storytelling are essential attributes for this position.
