Job description
DutiesDuties will be performed under the supervision of the course instructor and may include: •Marking assignments and final examinations in accordance with provided grading guidelines •Assisting with the administration and posting of course materials (e.g., Quercus) •Supporting students with setting up and using cloud-based and big data resources •Troubleshooting technical issues related to course software, platforms, and tools •Responding to student questions related to course material and technical implementation •Other duties as reasonably assigned in support of course delivery Minimum Qualifications •Demonstrated experience with Python programming for data analysis or analytics applications •Familiarity with big data concepts and frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, or similar technologies) •Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and platforms (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud) •Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to software and computing environments •Strong communication skills and ability to support students in a technical learning environment Preferred Qualifications •Experience working with cloud-based data analytics platforms and services •Familiarity with distributed data processing and storage systems •Experience supporting students in programming or technical courses •Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant •Experience working with multiple programming or scripting languagesRelevant CriterionThe need to acquire experience is the more relevant criterion than previous experience in respect of this posted position.
