Job Title : Office Assistant – Freight Forwarding

Location : El Segundo, CA

Job Type : Full-Time

Pay : $21.00 – $22.00 per hour (DOE)

Job Summary :

We are a growing freight forwarding company in El Segundo seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team. This full-time position plays a key role in supporting our day-to-day operations with administrative and clerical tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and eager to contribute in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide general administrative support to the operations and customer service teams
  • Answer and direct phone calls and emails in a professional manner
  • Assist with data entry, document preparation, and filing
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and other important documents
  • Support shipping and receiving processes by preparing documents and labels
  • Communicate with carriers, vendors, and customers as needed
  • Track and update shipment status and coordinate with internal departments
  • Perform other office duties as assigned to ensure smooth daily operations

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred)
  • Prior office experience, preferably in freight forwarding or logistics (not required but a plus)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
