Facilities Operations Manager

We are looking for a Facilities Operations Manager.
Manage and supervise a multi-disciplinary team of maintenance personnel, including electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, carpenters, general maintenance workers, and grounds staff. Oversee daily maintenance operations, ensuring timely completion of service calls, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs. Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and work order tracking systems (e.g., CMMS such as Maximo, SAP, or similar). Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other applicable codes and standards. Maintain and update facility records, inspection logs, equipment inventories, and maintenance documentation. Coordinate with federal client representatives for inspections, approvals, and project planning. Prepare and manage annual maintenance budgets, track expenditures, and support financial forecasting and resource planning. Develop and execute facilities improvement plans and capital projects in coordination with engineering and contracting staff. Monitor building systems performance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency. Oversee subcontractor performance for specialized maintenance services and verify compliance with scope, quality, and safety requirements. Conduct facility inspections to identify deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly. Manage energy conservation, sustainability initiatives, and operational efficiency programs. Provide weekly and monthly maintenance reports summarizing performance metrics, completed work, and outstanding issues. Lead emergency response and after-hours maintenance operations as required.
Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Possess at least five (5) years of recent (within the past 10 years) responsible experience in the management and supervision of complex commercial and institutional facilities involving facility operations and maintenance. Must have experience in Federal Contract management and supervision of facility operations. It is highly desired that this experience includes facilities in adult education resident facilities, facility maintenance, food, services, housekeeping, and human resources at facilities having the approximate size, characteristics, and service mix as our FLETC Complex. Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, structural). Experience managing teams and subcontractors in a multi-building or campus-style environment. Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and government facility maintenance standards. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Must have a REAL ID or US passport and able to operate a motor vehicle. Must be a US Citizen. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Clear and effective written and communication skills. Must be able to pass a background investigation, drug test, and physical exam.
