Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Controls Service Installer to assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of building automation systems across commercial and industrial properties. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electrical systems, HVAC controls, and building automation systems. You’ll be responsible for both service work and installations, ensuring all systems are properly maintained and any issues are quickly diagnosed and resolved.
Key Responsibilities
Install and maintain control systems, including sensors, actuators, panels, and field devices
Perform routine service work and troubleshooting on HVAC and building automation systems
Ensure that control systems are functioning as designed, performing system checks, calibrations, and necessary repairs
Assist with the modification, programming, and troubleshooting of control systems under senior supervision
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical prints, and control sequences
Provide detailed service reports, documenting work performed and system status
Comply with safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements
Skills & Experience
3–5 years of experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting building automation, HVAC controls, or electrical systems
Strong understanding of low-voltage wiring, DDC controls, and electrical principles
Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and control sequences
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Tridium Niagara, Schneider Electric, or similar platforms
Experience with BACnet, Modbus, or LON communication protocols
Tridium Niagara N4 certification or equivalent a plus
Prior experience in service, commissioning, or networking / IP systems in HVAC or building automation
