FOREMAN / SUPERVISOR HVAC 2468

Job Title

General Function : Directs the activities of a group or team of shop employees involved in a specific production, repair, or material handling process to meet company quality and safety standards within production schedules, in the most cost-effective manner. Supervises general hourly employees, welders, painters, plant clerks, etc. Works under the general direction of a plant superintendent, plant manager, or other plant management position.

Typical Duties :

• Determines work procedures, equipment, and supplies needed, and manpower requirements to complete assignments per production drawing.
• Selects, supervises, assigns, instructs, and schedules shop employees.
• Monitors work processes and products to ensure quality, safety, and cost containment standards are maintained.
• Coordinates with other phases of operation to meet schedules and obtain necessary materials and equipment.
• Ensures company equipment is properly handled, maintained, and secured.
• Consults with engineers and quality assurance inspectors regarding the integrity of products.
