We have a full-time opportunity for an experienced Construction Materials Inspector / Project Manager in Tucson, Arizona.

WT has had a Tucson office for over 60 years. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional to help lead the Southern Arizona Unit.

Responsibilities

  • Work with project designers and clients to ensure that client specifications are followed
  • Perform routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field
  • Prepare daily reports on observation activities
  • Assist with proposal scoping and preparation
  • Track project budgets and prepare invoicing
  • Review observation and test data for accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with training, supervision, and mentoring of junior staff as needed

Required and Preferred Education / Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4 year Civil Engineering degree, preferred
  • 4+ years of construction materials testing and observation experience
  • Experience ranging from small to large complex construction and / or heavy highway projects

Minimum Certifications

  • ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician
  • One ICC Certification
  • One ATTI Certification

Preferred Certifications

  • ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector
  • ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector
  • ICC Pre-stressed Concrete Special Inspector
  • ATTI Field Technician or equivalent
  • Nuclear Gauge / Radiation Safety

Required Skills

  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving history required
  • Ability to read and comprehend plans and specifications
  • Experience with performing IBC Special Inspections
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable with MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Drive
  • Attention to detail
