The DC Automation Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, troubleshooting, and optimization of automated systems within the Distribution Center. This role acts as the primary liaison between operations, maintenance, IT, and robotics vendors to ensure smooth and efficient automation workflows. The DC Automation Lead will document issues, train teams, track performance metrics, and drive best practices for automation technologies. Success in this role requires a proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Operations and Maintenance Support:
- Monitor and support automated systems, ensuring smooth operations and minimal disruptions.
- Act as the primary contact for troubleshooting automation-related issues and escalate as needed.
- Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and IT teams to ensure efficient system functionality.
- Regularly report robot status and automation performance to relevant stakeholders.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Document issues, standard operating procedures (SOPs), operational guides, and performance metrics.
- Open, track, update, and resolve tickets and service requests related to automation systems.
- Identify gaps in existing training and documentation and contribute to developing new resources.
Training and Knowledge Sharing:
- Train operations, training, and maintenance teams on automation best practices across all shifts.
- Serve as the "go-to" expert for automation operations, providing support and guidance to teams.
- Lead pilots for new operational practices, ensuring smooth integration of automation enhancements.
Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:
- Work closely with robotics vendors to maintain automation system efficiency.
- Collaborate with Operations and Robotics teams to develop and refine operational best practices.
- Support process improvements to maximize automation efficiency and minimize downtime.
Qualifications:
- Experience in warehouse or distribution environment.
- 3-5 years in an automation-related field.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Tableau experience is a plus.
- Basic understanding of IT functions related to automation systems.
- Flexibility to work weekends, nights, holidays, and overtime as dictated by business needs.
Physical and Environmental Conditions:
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds; assistance may be required for heavier items.
- Work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and physical demands.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, and bend for extended periods.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other duties as assigned, including cross-functional support when needed.
- Maintain compliance with all safety protocols and operational guidelines.
- Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $26.50.
