Description

STAFF ACCOUNTANT CAREER OPPORTUNITY

Diversified Conveyors International is seeking a Staff Accountant to become an integral member of our accounting and finance team.

This person will be looked upon to execute these and other responsibilities :

Responsible as Stewards

  • Compiles and prepares billing packets sent to customers
  • Prepares monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and assist in preparation of financial statements
  • Responsible for timely filing and compliance of sales, property, and business taxes
  • Prepares and enters general ledger journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Responsible for entering and maintaining accurate contract and subcontract data is in ERP system and handling related data inquiries

Make It Better

  • Help DCI better leverage existing ERP system through process improvement and reporting and analytical functionality
  • Help strengthen internal accounting and reporting controls in place to prepare reliable, accurate financial statements and reports

Develop Unique Greatness

Execute special projects as assigned by the CFO / CEO to provide timely insights into business operations and develop working relationships with DCI's senior management team

Time Matters

  • Help shorten the closing cycle to "Best in Class" timeframes by driving efficiency and timeliness of accounting functions
  • Assist in the timely preparation of consolidated financial statements, general ledger maintenance and execution of month-end close

Education,

Skills, and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required

Construction company or percentage completion contract accounting and billing experience preferred

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles

Exceptional written and oral communication skills

Superior administrative capacity - manage multiple priorities from different internal / external clients with minimal oversight

Excellent interpersonal skills with proven teamwork

Skilled in database management and recordkeeping

Able to identify, offer solutions, and resolve problems in a timely manner

Dedicated to handling confidential work in a sensitive manner

Critical Qualities

Proactive; able to work well with others across departments

Precise, efficient, organized, and able to meet deadlines

Ability to work well with a variety of different project leaders

Position Information

Full Time position; salary with benefits

Work Schedule : 40 hours per week

This position will work from the Memphis, Tennessee office and report directly to the Controller, and will have frequent direct interactions with CFO and CEO
