Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary :

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing financial transactions related to vendor payments and expenses. As an integral part of our finance department, you will ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, reconciliation of accounts, and adherence to financial policies and procedures.

Responsibilities :

• Enter and review invoices and check requests to ensure proper coding and appropriate documentation is received into financial systems (Workday)
• Maintains supplier / vendor profile
• Process weekly check / wire / ACH runs
• Follows up on account statements and other discrepancies regarding payment of accounts
• Obtain necessary approvals and signatures on checks and other payment documents
• Collaborate with team members and outside suppliers to address any issues or discrepancies
• Processes daily manual payments from multiple bank accounts / companies
• Process high volume of invoices for multiple companies
• Responds to inquiries from vendors and staff
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information and adhere to regulatory requirements
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications :

High school diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or a one-year certificate from a college or technical school and five years related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
