REQUIRED :
HS Diploma and 5+ years of expereince with Preventaive Maintenance / Demand Maintenance with for either commercial HVAC or Industrial Chillers
EPA Refrigeration cert highly preferred (he calls it an EPA card) - not 100% required
Exp with lubrication, calibration, inspections, replacing worn parts
Exp with fixing pumps, sensors, motors, chillers, PLC devices
Must be ok with climbing ladders / working outdoors as some of the systems are on the roof of the buildings.
Job Description :
Day to Day : assessing building alarms, air handler Preventative Maintenance, filter changes, troubleshoot bio freezers,
- Maintains the function of department assets to ensure reliable equipment and quality standards are met.
- Assists in root cause investigation and reliability centered maintenance analysis
- Capable of training others on tasks.
- Is proficient in multiple skilled trade disciplines and creates or edits maintenance job plans
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows, CMMS Maximo)
- Fully proficient in their core function, performing advanced level tasks
- Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization
- Supports continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and / or the site
- Understands and follows all safety and GMP regulations
- Performs advanced mechanical tasks and PM procedures on a variety of HVAC / Refrigeration equipment. Work includes troubleshooting, ordering parts and installation of parts, and material on equipment such as fractional horsepower motors, unit circulation fans, basic electrical devices associated with the control of the units, chillers, air conditioners, compressors, pumps, ultra-low temperature freezers, walk in coolers, and freezers, etc.
- Performs preventative maintenance work on all types of plant HVAC / Refrigeration equipment including fans, valves, actuators, etc. May install bearings, seals, belts, gaskets, etc. on HVAC / Refrigeration equipment utilizing a variety of gauges, tools and test equipment including vacuum and pressure gauges, leak detectors, torque wrenches, multimeters, ammeters, etc. Does mechanical overhauls and performs preventive maintenance work on all types of plant refrigeration equipment.
- Orders materials and parts from the stockroom and venders, initiates work orders, and various other forms that may be required. When required, processes paperwork such as work orders, house requisitions, and various other forms that may be required.
- Effectively communicates the status of jobs to customers. Ensures that adequate information is shared with other work groups when transferring work orders
