Position Summary
Free Market Health is seeking a detail-oriented and relationship-driven Strategic Pharmacy Account Executive to support the growth and engagement of specialty pharmacies on the FMH platform. This role will serve as a key liaison between FMH and its pharmacy partners, helping to drive performance, optimize operational workflows, and support strategic initiatives that align with payer and manufacturer priorities.
The ideal candidate will have experience in specialty pharmacy operations, PBM or health plan environments, and account management. This role is critical to ensuring pharmacy partners are successful, engaged, and contributing to the overall value of the FMH network.
Key Responsibilities
Pharmacy Engagement & Relationship Management
- Support platform demos, onboarding, and training to pharmacy teams, communicating FMH's value story and performance expectations clearly and consistently .
- Serve as a trusted advisor to strategic pharmacy accounts, establishing credibility and acting as the primary point of contact to address needs, inquiries, and concerns.
- Present clear, data-backed value presentations to support decision-making and growth
- Ensure compliance, competitive positioning, and mutually beneficial outcomes in all FMH networks
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Utilize KPIs tied to platform performance, program performance and financial outcomes (e.g., fill rates, TAT, abandonment, revenue, outcomes) to drive improve pharmacy performance with platformCollaborate with analytics and client services teams for development and maintenance of pharmacy performance metrics.Identify performance gaps and support resolution, partnering with Pharmacy Programs, Client Services and Pharmacy Support teams as neededOperational Support & Strategic Execution
Assist with pharmacy contracting and program implementation as needed to ensure pharmacy readiness (e.g., P3, curated networks).Support pharmacy readiness for payer programs and volume increases tied to new payers and client expansionsEnsure pharmacy partners meet quality benchmarks and contribute to network value.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Pharmacy Programs, Client Services, and Product teams to resolve issues and improve platform experience.Provide feedback to internal teams to inform product enhancements and strategic initiatives.Advise clients on industry regulations, payer policies, and evolving market dynamics that may impact specialty pharmacy services and strategic accounts.Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's degree in any field required; healthcare, business, or related disciplines preferred.
Experience
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in account management, payer relations, or a related field within specialty pharmacy, health plan, PBM, or healthcare industry.Experience managing external partner relationships and performance metrics.Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with experience working cross-functionally to align strategies and support successful account outcomes.Proven ability to execute and deliver results in planning, organizing, and supporting account initiatives.Familiarity with specialty pharmacy workflows and reimbursement models.Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and drive insights.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally.Adept in problem solving and decision making, with the ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights.Advanced business intelligence and analytical abilities, capable of tracking performance and supporting strategic decision-making.Preferred Qualifications :
