Tri-County Technical College is a public, two-year community and technical college serving Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties in South Carolina. Position Summary Tri-County Technical College is seeking innovative and student-centered educators to join our pool of Adjunct Music Faculty. We are looking for passionate instructors to teach MUS 105 Music Appreciation, a core transfer course designed to introduce students to the elements, history, and cultural significance of music. As an adjunct, you will have the opportunity to engage a diverse student body through in-person, online, or hybrid formats, depending on departmental needs and your availability. Key Responsibilities Instruction: Deliver high-quality instruction in Music Appreciation (MUS 105), ensuring the course meets transfer-level standards. Course Management: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress via the college’s Learning Management System (LMS). Student Engagement: Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical listening and appreciation for various musical genres and eras. Flexibility: Teach at various campus locations (Pendleton, Anderson, Easley, or Oconee) or online as scheduled. Academic Criteria To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following academic criteria: Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in any music discipline; OR Master’s Degree (in any field) with a minimum of 18 graduate-level semester hours in music or music-related disciplines. Professional Qualifications Prior experience teaching at the post-secondary (college) level. Experience with online instruction and digital course shells (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard).
