Walden Pet Services is the preferred pet care provider in the Concord area. With more than 2,000 clients since our founding in 1998, we have made it our mission to provide our clients with the highest quality pet care.

When we work and where we work :

• We seek candidates who can work from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
• You would need to commit to 3-5 days of work per week, including two weekend days per month (you select the days).
• We service Concord, Carlisle, Lincoln, Maynard, Acton, and nearby communities in Massachusetts . You must be comfortable commuting to and within our service area : You will be assigned walks in a smaller area within one of these towns.

We do not provide services in any other towns.

What We Offer : $18 - 30 / hr

What We’re Looking For :

• Have trustworthy and hands-on experience (personal / volunteer / professional) caring for pets, and a willingness to learn.
• Have the ability to handle large dogs or multiple dogs at once; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Have proven communication skills and a customer-focused mentality.
• Be tech-savvy and possess the ability to learn new software.
• Possess an impeccable attention to detail.
• Have an interest in learning how a local, small business operates and possess a desire to grow within the company.

What We Do :

We are in the peace-of-mind business. We work diligently to maintain our status and reputation as trusted professional partners.

We provide customized, reliable care for each client who may be busy working or traveling or just looking for their dog to have some fun during the day!

• We visit clients’ homes to care for their pets. This could include taking dogs for walks, letting dogs out in the yard to play, cleaning up after pets, feeding, scooping litter boxes, providing medications if needed, and, of course, loving them and giving them lots of TLC and belly rubs! We are also responsible for providing basic home care for vacation clients, such as watering plants and collecting mail.
• Our pet care specialists drive themselves to these appointments. You will check in and check out using our mobile app and write informative updates with pictures to let clients know how their pets and homes are doing.

The Must-Haves :

• You must have your own reliable vehicle and a valid Driver's License. You will travel to / from clients’ homes and transport dogs in your car when needed.
• Have a smartphone : employees use our app to clock in / out with GPS, send updates to clients, and communicate with the team.
• We will only consider candidates who can commit to working with us for at least six months.
• You must be highly dependable, as our clients depend on us to care for their furry family members. We’re dealing with living, breathing pets, and you must ensure that visits occur no matter what.

This is not a job that you can call out easily.

• You must be able to work on your feet for many hours at a time in all types of weather, including rain, snow, and heat.
• Thrive in an independent work environment - time management, resiliency, and self-motivation are essential to success in this role.
