We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Monmouth, Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient processing of shipping documents and seamless coordination of goods leaving the facility. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be highly organized, and demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities :
- Welcome and check in drivers to ensure they are prepared for loading procedures.
- Distribute tally sheets to team members for tracking truck loading activities.
- Prepare and process Bills of Lading and ensure all shipping documents match the tally sheets.
- Attach necessary export documents to shipments for compliance with regulations.
- Perform accurate data entry to maintain up-to-date inventory and shipping records.
- Monitor and oversee the loading and unloading of goods to ensure proper handling.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, team members, and external partners to address any concerns.
- Utilize bilingual communication skills or alternative methods to ensure clear understanding with diverse individuals.
- Strong attention to detail to guarantee accurate documentation and inventory tracking.
- Proficiency in data entry and experience with inventory management systems.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to collaborate with team members and drivers.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with shipping processes, including Bills of Lading and export documentation.
- Physical capability to assist with loading and unloading as needed.
- Bilingual proficiency, particularly in Spanish, is highly preferred.
- Previous experience in a shipping or inventory-related role is advantageous.
