GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION : Responsible for developing, organizing, and implementing intramural sports, activities, and events.
The intramural coordinator would focus on providing social, athletic, and recreational activities that facilitate personal growth and strengthen the bond between student and school.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Coordinate intramural / event registration, and oversee intramural / event rosters.
2. Assist with supervision for both on and off-site programs.
3. Coordinate emergency procedures, policies, and equipment / field checks.
4. Coordinate and lead training of volunteers.
5. Communicate accurately and timely with parents, staff and students as needed.
6. Schedule events and facilities.
7. Develop and evaluate intramural sports, events, and activities to meet student interest.
8. Resolve conflicts.
9. Inventory intramural / event equipment.
10. Order trophies, t-shirts, and other rewards, as needed.
11. Develop electronic and paper communication tools for intramural programming.
12. Develop and communicate intramural policy and procedures.
13. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : Directly supervises hourly contracted employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS : Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy / procedure manuals; Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from parents and students.

Equipment
- Use standard office equipment, such as personal computers and copiers.
- Use / operate student equipment when applicable (may include : stander, positioner, harness, wheelchair, etc.)
Travel Requirements
Travel between schools, or between schools and central offices, may be required for certain positions.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, and perform arithmetic operations as needed to assist students at level of IEP goals.
- Ability to understand, apply and use personal computers and software applications (e.g., Word, Excel).
- Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others.
- Ability to establish a supportive and compassionate relationship with students with special needs.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others contacted in the course of work.
- Ability to report work orally or in writing to supervisor as required.
- Effective writing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to attend additional training if needed

- Ability to work outdoors during outdoor student activities.
- Ability to safely traverse all required spaces within the assigned facility
- Ability to physically assist students in emergency evacuation & lockdown situations
