POSITION TITLE : CLINICAL SERVICES MANAGER
LOCATION : Care Point Health & Wellness
TYPE OF POSITION : Full-time (Monday-Friday 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.)
GENERAL FUNCTION : The Clinical Services Manager (CSM) is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the medical clinic, ensuring efficient patient flow, optimal use of exam and procedure rooms, and high-quality support for providers. The CSM serves as the primary link between clinical staff, administrative leadership, and front-line operations - overseeing scheduling, workflow coordination, supply management, compliance with regulatory standards, and performance oversight of non-provider clinical personnel.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Oversight
- Coordinate daily clinic operations to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient provider schedules.
- Assign medical assistants, x-ray technician, and referral coordinator to appropriate providers or duties.
- Monitor and adjust exam room utilization, ensuring two-room rotation for providers and timely room turnover.
- Serve as point-of-contact for resolving operational bottlenecks in real time.
Staff Leadership
Supervise and evaluate assigned clinical support staff, including conducting performance reviews and coaching.Organize daily morning huddles with providers and support staff to review schedules, priorities, and special cases.Coordinate coverage for staff absences and ensure cross-training for critical functions.Quality & Compliance
Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, infection control standards, and OSHA / AHCA / CDC guidelines.Monitor compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality regulations.Work closely with the Chief Medical Officer to support clinical quality improvement initiatives.Resource & Supply Management
Oversee ordering, stocking, and maintenance of medical supplies, instruments, and equipment.Track supply usage and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.Communication & Coordination
Serve as the operational liaison between providers, administrative leadership, and front desk staff.Facilitate clear communication regarding patient flow, urgent cases, and schedule adjustments.Work with the Referral Coordinator to ensure timely processing of external referrals and prior authorizations.QUALIFICATIONS :
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum 3 years of experience in a medical clinic setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.Strong understanding of clinical workflows, medical terminology, and patient care processes.Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems; experience with Veradigm / Allscripts preferred.Skills and Abilities
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment with diverse populations.Commitment to HIV care, harm reduction, and health equity principles.Certification in medical office management, clinical supervision, or practice administration.Experience in both medical and dental service settings.Bilingual in English and Spanish.Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Fast-paced clinical environment with frequent interaction with patients, providers, and support staff.Occasional extended hours for special projects or operational needs.Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.Supervises
Medical Assistant, X-Ray Technician, Referral Coordinator, Receptionists, Van Driver, and other assigned clinical support staff.
